About us

After seeing this sweet old church empty for over ten years, owners Cheryl and Pete asked to buy it. They hope to make it a retirement home while keeping its simple historic features and mid-century vibe. Until then, they offer it to everyone to celebrate, create, stretch, and meditate.

Since the purchase in 2021, they have removed many moldy items and found the owners of some left-behind Bibles. Additionally, they updated the electricity, replaced rotten wood, and painted the interior. They also polished up the foyer and bathroom. The old pump organ still sits in the corner with many 100-year-old pews and good vibes left by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, which used this as a home from the 1950s-2010. The new owners are not connected to the church but want to honor the former owner’s and the building’s history.

While working in the church, they met many folks who used to worship there; some even played the pump organ for them! The space has lovely light and a great vibe.

The roof was patched, which unfortunately meant losing the steeple, which caused leaks inside. And the congregation took the bell when they left the building. Cheryl & Pete hope to bring bring those items back. If you have the means to help, you may make an offering via Venmo @valleviews
